Veneers and Smile Makeovers

Beauty, enhanced.

Veneers are very thin, custom shells of tooth-colored materials that cover the surface of the teeth, similar to how acrylic nails work. They improve the appearance of the teeth, and can change their color, shape, length, or size. Veneers create drastic improvements when teeth are misaligned, chipped, cracked, discolored, or small.

If you are interested in improving your smile with dental veneers, contact Paloma Dental in Denver today. Dr. Bassett offers free consultations for veneer treatment and can discuss your individual needs more extensively.

How does Paloma Dental create my veneers?

The decision to get veneers is an extremely personal one, so Dr. Bassett takes the individual needs of your expectations very seriously.

The first and most important step is to create a mock-up of the intended veneers. You will discuss the size and shape you are hoping to achieve from your smile makeover so Dr. Bassett can give you YOUR smile – not someone else’s.

Next, the teeth are prepared to receive the veneers and a digital impression is taken of the teeth for the lab. Temporary veneers will be placed on your teeth so you have a couple of weeks to approve of the size and shape.

One of the most important aspects of successful veneer treatment is a high-quality dental lab that creates them. Often, Dr. Bassett will ask you to go directly to that lab so you can meet your smile makeover artists and give them the best idea of what you want to achieve.

When you have approved of the size and shape of your veneers, permanent veneers will be made and cemented. They will then be essentially part of your teeth.

Although often this change is subtle to everyone else, the difference in your confidence will be the most valuable and noticeable aspect of the makeover.

Do veneers require any special care?

Dental veneers do not require any special care beyond normal hygiene routines. Simply continue to follow good oral hygiene practices such as brushing, flossing, and rinsing with mouthwash and continue to visit the dentist as recommended to ensure your veneers stay strong and clean.
